  • Ethics: We are pleased to announce that the 3-day Certification Workshop, Essential Skills in Comprehensive Energy Psychology, which carries CEU’s for many professional groups, now includes 3 hours that are specifically identified as covering ethics. In addition, the 1-day Certification Workshop, Client Care & Facilitation Skills, now includes 2 hours that are specifically identified as covering ethics.

  • Certification Workshop CD's are now available - ACEP is proud to announce that the entire 4-day ACEP Certification workshop is now available on CD-rom, featuring embedded videos in a remarkable new "choose your topic" format.  Although they do not replace attendance at a certification workshop, they are a wonderful tool for training and review. BENEFITS OF ACEP CERTIFICATION

    1. Amplify Your Credibility: Gain an edge in the marketplace through becoming able to market your EP skills to the public and colleagues in the most prestigious way possible — from the world's most professionally credible EP certifying organization.

    2. Upgrade Your Expertise: Enjoy the self-confidence that comes from knowing that you have a solid, comprehensive, state-of-the-art foundation in EP and from knowing how to provide ethical services within your scope of practice.

    3. Contribute to the Credibility of Our Field: Play a vital role in helping establish an impeccable EP standard of care that will pave the way for EP becoming more widely accepted, and for possible insurance reimbursement in the future. As ACEP establishes relationships with trauma relief organizations that only accept certified EP practitioners, you will also have the opportunity to do volunteer work through them.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF CERTIFICATION

The following are required to successfully complete  certification:

      • Completion of the ACEP-approved Distance Learning Program: Successfully passing an exam for each of the 11 modules for DCEP or 13 modules for CEHP.

      • Documentation of having completed a minimum of 20 hours of consultation from an ACEP Certification Consultant: An evaluation form and endorsement from the approved certification consultant verifying these hours is required (see next bullet). At least 10 of these hours must be obtained through individual (one-to-one) EP-focused consultation. Provisions will be made for those therapists who practice in isolated areas and lack the convenience or proximity to an approved consultant. (Individual telephone consultation, video taping of the session or other creative ways will be entertained to meet the individual needs of those seeking certification.) The remaining hours may also be done individually or in a group format having no more than 8 participants. See
        Certification Program Consultants
      • An evaluation form from each ACEP Certification Consultant attesting to the quality of the applicant's utilization of CEP while in the consulting relationship: The ACEP Certification Consultant(s) who provided the consultation to the applicant must send submit this form, attesting to the number of hours of consultation obtained and addressing the overall skill in the utilization of CEP by the applicant.
