This research explored the effects of TFT treatment of PTSD in Uganda. Noteworthy is the fact that it combined research with a humanitarian mission: the trainers (Dr. Howard and Phyll Robson, and Roger Ludwig) trained 36 local community workers in a 2-day TFT Algorithm training. These newly trained workers then treated 256 conflict survivors with a single, one-hour TFT treatment. Scores on the PCL-C (PTSD Checklist- Civilian) dropped from 58 to 26.1 (a drop of over 30 points, which is very significant).
The benefits lasted 19 months later, although not as much as immediately after treatment.
