ACEP's Monthly Audio Download for Members:
We hope you enjoyed your October download of Nan Lu speaking on the Four Energy Gate exercises.
The November member download is Carol Look's presentation on Attracting Abundance with EFT: How to Become a Success Magnet in all Areas of Your Life from ACEP's 8th Annual Conference in 2006. We thought the topic could be helpful at this time of year, as there are more demands on our resources of time, energy and money during the holiday season.

To receive the mp3, CLICK HERE and sign in using your member login and password. The cost of ordering 12 individual conference recordings is over $200... another great reason to tell your friends and colleagues the benefits of joining ACEP.

Third Time's a Charm: The APA Has Approved ACEP to Provide CE Credits for Psychologists for Energy Psychology:
It is with tremendous pleasure that we announce to you that ACEP has been approved by the American Psychological Association to be a provider of CE credit for psychologists and that we can provide CE credit for our programs in Energy Psychology effective Nov 11, 2012. This has been a process that has taken over 5 years to complete. Thank you to all who poured tremendous amounts of energy into this important undertaking.

What this means:  It means that psychologists can now get CE credit for Energy Psychology from ACEP. That is the only thing we know for sure.

Does it mean that other APA approved providers can now offer CE credit for Energy Psychology courses?  We are not sure yet. It probably does. We will be contacting the APA for further clarification on this matter. APA approved providers themselves can also check with the APA. We will be saying more about this soon.

What this does NOT mean: It is very important to note that our APA approved provider status for our energy psychology programs does not mean that the APA has approved any EP method per se. Please do not tell people this or imply this in any way. Although EP is evidenced supported, this new development doe not make it more evidenced supported than it was on November 10, 2012.

What does this mean for the future of EP? While we’re excited about the possibilities, we don’t really know what this means for the future of EP. We think we are now starting a new chapter in the acceptance of EP within the framework of more mainstream approaches. The APA had been the last hold out in accepting EP as worthy for continuing education credit for its members.  We believe its prior position slowed research and clinical use of EP. We hope this decision marks a new era of increased research and study in EP methods.

We will be providing more information about the implications of the APA’s decision over the coming days and weeks. For now we wish our entire EP community, within the U.S. and beyond, a Happy Thanksgiving.  We at ACEP have so much to be thankful for, and we are deeply appreciative to be able to celebrate this historic event with you.  We also would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your support.

Support ACEP to Reach Further EP Milestones
Please Make a 2012 Tax Deductible Donation:

Why should you give to ACEP this year? ACEP works to magnify and support your healing work in the world - and to spread the healing of EP throughout the world.

Over the last 5 years, ACEP has spent tens of thousands of dollars and hundreds (if not thousands) of hours to finally, this year, become an APA approved provider to give CE credit for EP to psychologists. This acheivement (which required intense focus, commitment and resources) highlights the real change a non-profit organization can help bring to fruition in our society. But none of this work happens without the support of our members and donors.

We need your help to continue and amplify our mission. We need to raise $25,000 in the next six months for our next round of research 'seed' grants. We need to raise at least $15,000 to close our budget gap this year. 2012 has been a year of tremendous growth for ACEP and Energy Psychology, but the growth in our expenses has slightly outpaced the growth of our income.

Financial contributions are tax-deductive and can be directed toward EP research, humanitarian aid or the general fund. If you'd like to show your support now, you can easily donate online by CLICKING HERE. We thank you in advance.

ACEP Releases First Two EP Videos From Footage Taken at the 2012 Annual Energy Psychology Conference:
Thanks to the generosity of documentary filmmaker, Eric Hurre, we now have an amazing treasure trove of interview footage with some of ACEP's founding members and a number of ACEP member practitioners speaking on this exciting and important healing field. The first two clips answer the question: "How did you find energy psychology - or how did energy psychology find you?" We hope you enjoy these videos - and we encourage you to share them with your friends and colleagues. Stay tuned for more to come.

Thank you also to all the people who took time to be intereviewed in these clips (in alpha order by last name): David Gruder, Dorothea Hover-Kramer, Willem Lammers, Rick Leskowitz, Carol Odsess, Duncan Riach, Holly Timberlake and Debby Vajda.

ACEP Has Won a 2012 Top-Rated Non-Profit Award:

To read some of the fabulous reviews of ACEP on the Great Nonprofits website - or to add your own review, visit our profile by

Join ACEP's Fundraising Committee:
In order for ACEP to move forward to the next level of service in spreading the word about the benefits of Energy Psychology, we need to strengthen and expand our financial base. To that end, we are developing a Fundraising Committee. We're currently looking for people who have the skills, time and willingness to support this effort. If you are interested, please contact Debby Vajda, ACEP's President-Elect, at

David Feinstein's EP Research Article Published in the APA Journal Review of General Psychology:

David Feinstein's latest article, Acupoint Stimulation in Treating Psychological Disorders: Evidence of Efficacy, is now available in the APA Journal Review of General Psychology. This is an excellent review on tapping-based EP research to date. We have no doubt it will help to open up a constructive and more wide-reaching conversation on EP within the professional field of psychology. We encourage you to share this resource with friends and colleagues.

Allison Denehy, ACEP's Newest ACP-EFT Graduate, Gets to the Root of Her Client's Smoking Addiction
Allison Denehy, a recent ACP-EFT graduate, has written an in depth article that provides us with some quality detective work for discovering the root causes behind her client's smoking addiction. Addictions are typically NOT one minute wonders and usually require the skillful use of EFT. Surface approaches, such as you might find with pre-written EFT scripts, will seldom make this type of progress. To read Allison's article, CLICK HERE. To read thoughts from Gary Craig on the pros and perils of EFT tapping scripts, click here.

Research Symposium Call for Research Papers:

We are still accepting research papers in the fields of Energy Psychology and Energy Medicine to be presented at our 15th annual international conference on Thursday, May 30, 2013 in Reston, VA. Clinicians, new researchers and graduate students are especially encouraged to present. For details, go to The deadline to submit is February 1, 2013.

Send Students to the 2013 Conference!
Energy Psychology is on the 'cutting edge' of psychotherapy, and ACEP is the premiere organization in the world for educating, researching and promoting these new energy-based therapies. We are feeling excited about our upcoming conference in Reston, VA and hope that you are as well.

Young people are the hope and promise of our futre. They are open to new ideas and innovations, and have more energy for more years to make a difference in our world. Very often, they wish to attend educational opportunities like trainings and conferences, but may lack the funds to do so.

To encourage more young people to attend our conference, we offer substantial discounts (approximately 50% off) to all currently registered full-time graduate and undergraduate students. We are also offering three full-tuition scholarships to the coference. All students who attend the conference will also receive a free ACEP membership for one year. If you know of any researchers or grad students in psychology, social work or counseling who are interested in research, please tell them about ACEP and SEND THEM TO THE CONFERENCE! Scholarship application deadline is April 1, 2013. To apply, contact John Freedom at

Collective Healing: Calming Mother Earth

Please focus your attention on our friends and family members in the eastern US, Cuba and Haiti affected by Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath. Use your preferred energy intervention to assist them with the inner knowing that their center and power are within and that Light and warmth are so close. Send them the power, courage and love to carry through and carry on. Shed our collective light on the changes that need to occur globally to calm Mother Earth.
