Tapping-Based Trauma Relief for Syrian Refugees in Turkey, Jordan and Syria

Syrian psychiatrist (and refugee), Dr. Mohammad Abo-Hilal, is working on trauma relief with Syrian refugee children. His work was profiled in the New York Times last fall. The article made us wonder how many more children he might reach (and how much more sustainable his work might be) by incorporating some form of tapping-based energy psychology into his approach.

We reached out via email and connected him with two of our members, Gunilla Hamme and Ulf Sandstrom. Gunilla and Ulf are based in Sweden and  have spent the past 9 years working with refugees, conflict survivors and IDPs in Rwanda, DR Congo, Sweden, Finland teaching a simple trauma tapping technique (TTT) that has assisted thousands in their healing process.

After discussing the possibilities via Whatsapp, Dr. Abo-Hilal expressed deep interest in receiving the training for all of his clinical staff ASAP. Here is his official letter of invitation to receive the training.

Would you like to help make this training a reality?

On March 18, 2016, we kicked off a crowd-based fundraiser to support this training along with two other initiatives that will reach survivors of the Rwandan genocide and U.S. veterans to help continue the spread of global healing. Please pitch in whatever amount you can to our crowdfunding campaign. Every dollar counts!
