The Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology

The Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) is a professional organization for licensed healthcare providers and allied health disciplines, which serves to organize and unify EP methods, provides professional support and education, and establishes ethical guidance in practice.

ACEP is recognized as the largest international organization that promotes research and application of EP approaches, offering an indispensable network of resources for the public and media, a staunch advocate for members responsibly learning and applying EP models, and an influential presence helping shape mental health and healthcare practices.

Formed as a non-profit in 1999, ACEP has a global membership of over 1,200 licensed mental health professionals and allied health practitioners. ACEP members are dedicated to exploring, developing, researching and applying energy psychology methods to alleviate human suffering, enhance human performance and access human potential.

Within the ACEP organization is a family of integrative disciplines that apply energy-related concepts and models across multiple areas. There are both professional and lay disciplines under the ACEP umbrella that uniquely utilize this integrative approach in the healing and change process.  ACEP members integrate mind-body-energy approaches into psychotherapy, healthcare, and coaching for the treatment and enhancement of emotional and physical health, and performance conditions.

ACEP is an approved provider of continuing education for psychologists, social workers, professional counselors, nurses, marriage and family therapists, and drug and alcohol counselors. ACEP maintains responsibility for its programs and its content.

ACEP works on behalf of its members to establish the credibility and efficacy of energy psychology methods through its programs of education, certification, ethics, humanitarian aid and research. By upholding standards of practice and a code of ethics for energy psychology practitioners, ACEP raises the bar of professionalism for this emerging field. ACEP also has ongoing initiatives to increase public awareness of the effectiveness and cost efficiency of these methods.

ACEP is a U.S. Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and publicly supported foundation.

"ACEP is where I’m setting my foundation as a practitioner in a new practice. If it wasn’t for all of you welcoming me and helping me feel like this is where I should be, I wouldn’t be where I am in my business right now. ACEP has provided me with the tools, support, and connections I needed to grow.

I am so grateful I decided to join the Membership Committee. If I didn't have that consistent connection and community interaction, I know I would have lost touch; with ACEP and my own professional goals. Thanks to ACEP's offerings, my business has quickly transformed in ways I didn't even know were possible.
