Dr. Cristina Louk is a highly experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) with a profound commitment to holistic well-being. She holds a BS in Psychology, a MA, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Since establishing her private practice, Peace Humanistic Therapy, PLLC, in 2021, Dr. Louk has been dedicated to guiding individuals on their healing journeys, building upon her practice experience since 2017. Her diverse background includes working in both agency and private practice settings. Notably, she served as the director of a supported living agency, where she gained extensive experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and co-occurring conditions such as ADHD, ASD, and other mental health comorbidities. Dr. Louk’s clinical training focused on neurodevelopmental assessments for intellectual disability, ADHD, and autism. She also completed a rotation at the Providence Regional Cancer Partnership, providing support to individuals navigating their cancer journey. Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Louk is actively involved in the professional community. She currently serves as the President-Elect of the Washington Mental Health Counselors Association and chairs the convention task force, which is developing the organization's inaugural annual conference to provide continuing education for therapists. With 30 years of experience teaching ballet and a lifetime engaged in yoga practice, Dr. Louk deeply understands the crucial role of movement in achieving optimal mental health, emotion regulation, and nervous system regulation. She has personally utilized yoga therapy (incorporating asana, pranayama, and Yoga Sutra study) in her own healing journey to manage ADHD and a dysregulated nervous system. This unique perspective informs her specialization in treating adults with ADHD and trauma. She offers comprehensive ADHD and trauma assessments for accurate diagnostics.
