I am a bilingual (English / Spanish) licensed psychologist with over 25 years of experience. I offer a compassionate approach to help my clients heal their emotional pain and break negative patterns, bringing more enjoyment and success into their lives. In addition to providing evidence-based interventions, I offer holistic approaches to address the multifactorial aspects of emotional disorders. For over 20 years, I have served as a faculty member at the University of Miami School of Medicine and the Jackson Health System, working in various capacities, including director of the fellowship psychology program and several research projects. Clinically, I have worked with patients affected by HIV, cancer, diabetes, transplant, and chronic pain. I have experience in treating depression, anxiety, panic, psychosis, PTSD, trauma, abuse, relationship issues, chronic pain, personality disorders, and concurrent substance abuse. I am a certified EMDR therapist; in addition, I have been trained in CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and clinical hypnosis. I am also a Chopra Health and Meditation Certified instructor. Recently, I started the fundamental training to become a certified Eden Energy Medicine Practitioner.
