I’m April Boykin, MSW, LCSW, LCSW-C, EEM-AP, founder of Balanced Wellness Therapeutic Services in Winter Garden, Florida. I’m licensed to provide therapy in Florida, Maryland, and Virginia. For more than 35 years, I’ve helped people navigate anxiety, trauma, stress, and patterns that persist even when they understand where those patterns came from. My approach brings together psychotherapy, energy psychology, and body-based practices. Depending on your needs and preferences, our work may include EFT, Eden Energy Medicine, EMDR, somatic practices, or hypnosis. We pay attention to your thoughts and beliefs, your nervous system, and what you experience in your body. You are always part of the decision about which approaches we use. I often work with people who have gained insight through therapy but still find themselves reacting, overgiving, or feeling stuck in familiar ways. My aim is to help you move from understanding a pattern to experiencing meaningful change, at a pace that respects your autonomy. Healing doesn’t have to hurt.
